My parents, immigrants who spoke little English, faced an uphill battle when they first tried to buy our family home. Sitting across from loan officers, nodding politely to words they didn’t fully understand, they felt lost in the maze of financial jargon and overwhelmed by the complexity of it all.
 
I was still a teenager, but I stepped in to translate and help in every way I could. What I quickly realized was that it wasn’t just a language barrier—they were missing out on the knowledge they needed to make informed decisions. The meetings felt like endless piles of documents and requirements.

I was determined to keep track of everything, study the terms, and provide my parents with extra support to make the right choices. I didn’t want them to make decisions blindly or shape our future without fully understanding their options.

That experience stayed with me, and by a twist of fate, the same lending office offered me a job at the end of my parents' loan process. At just 17, they saw something in me—a spark for finance. 

In the following years, I worked alongside seasoned loan officers, learning the ins and outs of the mortgage industry. I found myself thriving in this world of numbers and strategy.

Working with clients from all walks of life, I saw exactly where the gaps were—where people needed more clarity, better guidance, and someone who truly had their best interests at heart.
